Isaiah 40:31 says, “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Some translations say, “those who wait in the Lord will…”
The Hebrew root word used there is qavah (קָוָה, qāwâ). So the verse could be translated: “those who wait” — or more literally, “those who qavah.”
